Giveaway! Heather Ross set and Aurifil Thread Pack!

Today, I have a stupendous giveaway for you! I have dug down deep into my stash for this one, and I know these little beauties will all have you lusting!

The reason for the giveaway is that my friend, Sara of Sew Sweetness, is a girl on a mission to produce clothing sewing patterns for women! But she needs YOUR help! The quality garment drafting software that Sara needs to make these pdf patterns is quite expensive, and Sara has a Kickstarter goal set up to fund the project. Now, contributing to Kickstarter is so simple, anyone can do it. Payments are processed through Amazon (so if you've ever purchased anything through Amazon, you're all set up already!); payments will not be deducted unless she hits her goal (which I hope she will!!).

First Finish Fishy Friends

Thank goodness!!!!! I finally have a finish for 2012!!!!! Fishy Friends was completed on Saturday and I was also able to finish Darth Vader's poorly constructed cape collar on Sunday. It was a very happy weekend of sewing for me:o)

This is also the first quilt that was completely made with Aurifil thread. I am completely lovin this thread. 

The back has a whole small sea of those cute guys!

The front  is simple lines so the wonky fish will be the highlight { that is my hope anyway}

I did a randomish diagonal grid for boyish fun. The binding is machine sewn.

Finish It Up Friday

Pincushions are really cute

It has been a very slow sew week but sitting at a sewing machine is kind of resting...right ;o)

I am doing my first ever sewn item swap and I am MORE than a little nervous. I want to make sure that my swap partner is happy, hopefully MORE than happy with what I have sewn for her.

I made two different cushions { I may be making more, these are fun to make} and I am in love with them both. I need to choose which one will stay with me and a few more special treats for my secret swap partner.
